The 2021 MMAD Grenache experienced lovely mild ripening conditions, producing Grenache of great intensity.

The grapes were mostly destemmed and fermented as whole berries in open concrete and stainless steel. It was then aged in used 500 litre puncheons.

Tasting Notes

Nose:
The aromatics are intense and perfumed with notes of raspberry coulis, cinnamon and a hint of fennel seed which unfurl in the glass.
Palate:
There is a remarkable purity and density, accompanied by a subtle lightness that contrasts with the fruit's inherent energy and power. The palate reveals additional raspberry and cinnamon notes, consistent with those detected on the nose.
